Refinery license holders will blend at least 0.5% biodiesel into the engine they are supplying

It will be mandatory to blend biodiesel produced from domestic agricultural products at least 0.5% of the total energy supplied by refinery license holders within one calendar year.

The Communique of the Energy Market Regulatory Agency on the Amendment of the Communique on the Blending of Biodiesel into Diesel Types was published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, in the title of the collation provision, "biodiesel produced from domestic agricultural products and/or vegetable waste oils must be blended at least 0.5% of the total diesel imported by distributor license holders in a calendar year and supplied from the refinery, excluding land tanker filling units, at least 0.5%", the phrase “distributor” was changed into “refinery”.

The phrase "distributor license" in the statement "some or all of the biodiesel blending obligation may be transferred to another biodiesel blending obligation distributor license holder" contained in the communique has been updated to "license".

In addition, the month when the Blending Transfer Form should be submitted to the Institution was determined as May.
