Producing Biodiesel Fuel From Waste Oils In Accordance with TS EN 14214 Standard
Due to the fact that the direct disposal of waste frying oils to natural causes very serious environmental pollution, these oils are mostly collected from ready-made food service companies and food factories where they occur and are recycled with different processes.
One of these processes is to convert waste frying oils into biodiesel fuel and use it as a mixture with diesel fuel in diesel engines. Biodiesel fuels that have been examined as alternative fuels for diesel engines must be of high quality in order to be used efficiently and without damaging the engine in diesel engines.
The quality of biodiesel fuels is controlled by examining their compliance with different standards. In this context, TS EN 14214 standard, which is equivalent to the European Union Standard, is also applied in Turkey for biodiesel fuel quality control.
Since the characteristics of waste frying oils vary depending on the structure of the crude oil and the nature of the frying process, very careful preliminary eximination are required to produce high-quality biodiesel in accordance with TS EN 14214 standard from waste frying oils.
